One afternoon Dominic, and his cousin, Lily, went to the library to finish their homework. Lily finished her homework, then she told her cousin, ‘Dominic, I’m finished my homework, I’m going to look for more books to read.’ ‘Okay’, says Dominic.

Then Dominic finished his homework and looked for Lily. He looked in every aisle but still didn’t find her, and he began to worry. But then Dominic went to the very last row of bookshelves and saw Lily looking at the books.

But as soon as Lily opens the book, the pages of the book start glowing, and Lily was surprised, and she accidentally falls inside the glowing pages of the book! Luckily, Dominic saw this happen and he quickly jumps in to try to save her.

As soon as they enter the book, all they see is all white all around them. Then, a piece of paper fell from the sky. It had rules on it. It said,

“Welcome to the Tri-Dimensions. There are 3 dimensions you must pass to get back home. To get back home, you must get through the tasks in each dimension. As you enter each dimension, another piece of paper will appear and it will tell you what your task it. Be careful, there is a time limit, and if you pass your time limit, you cannot return home.”

The white space all around them turned into a scene with many dinosaurs. This was the first dimension, it's called, ‘Land of the Dino’s’. It shows the dinosaur age from more than 100 million years ago, it also shows dinosaurs life cycles. Then, a paper suddenly appeared in Dominic’s hand. It was the first task!

Lily and Dominic started walking, and they looked around at this new place. The kids were amazed and confused, wondering how this could be real.

Lily and Dominic saw a dinosaur that was wearing a bow tie and glasses and he looked kind, so Lily went to him and asked him, ‘Excuse me, Mr. Dinosaur, could you help us?’ said Lily.

‘Lily! You can’t just trust this dinosaur!’, Dominic whispered to Lily. ‘But Mr. Dinosaur looks kind..’, Lily said happily.

‘Of course I will help you.’ the Dinosaur said. ‘What is your name sir?’, Lily asked. ‘My name is Trike, I can help you with your task. If you don’t do it correctly, you will not be able to pass to the next dimension. If you do it correctly, you will enter the next dimension, what is your task, anyway?’, Trike said.

Our task is to, ‘Help someone replace the lightbulbs for their house. But, they have to be energy efficient so they have a choice to get fluorescent bulbs or LED bulbs.’ Dominic says as he reads the paper.

‘Well, that must be easy, my light bulbs are broken and I can’t decide which light bulbs to use. Maybe you can help me replace the lightbulbs?’ asked Trike.

‘Yes! That’s exactly what we need to do.’ said Lily, excitedly.

The three went to Trike's home and Lily and Dominic changed the light bulbs to LED light bulbs because those were energy saving light bulbs. ‘There, we’ve finished the first task’, Dominic said.

Then the kids were transported to another place. The second dimension takes place around the year 1800. This dimension is surrounded by factories, and smoke from the burning of fossil fuels. ‘This must be the second dimension’, said Lily, then a piece of paper appeared in her hand. It was the second task!

Dominic saw a happy-looking worker, and they walked up to him and asked, ‘Excuse us, sir, can you help us learn about fossil fuels?’. ‘Sure, by the way, my name is Steve, what are your names?’, asked Steve. ‘I’m Dominic, and this is my cousin, Lily’, Dominic says as he points to Lily. ‘We accidentally fell into this book and now we are stuck in here and have to do a task for each dimension.’

‘Well, Dominic and Lily, what is your task?’, asked Steve. “On the paper it says ‘‘There will be a trivia game made up of three questions about saving energy and how energy is made, they will have to answer these right or they will have stay in this dimension.’ says Lily. "Today is your lucky day, because I happen to know all about fossil fuels!’, says Steve.

The three of them sat down, and Steve taught them all he knows about fossil fuels. He taught them that.

Dominic and Lily thanked the kind man for his help. They waved goodbye, and Lily and Dominic were magically brought to another place.

There was a podium in the middle of a dark place with a spotlight shining down on them. Lily and Dominic knew this was the trivia game. In front of them, they saw a well dressed man sitting down at a table with a microphone in front of him, and a few pieces of papers in his hands.
