Jake and his mom are at the grocery store.

“Mom, what are you doing?” Jake asks
“I’m looking for where the food was made." says Jake's mom
"It might not seem like a big deal to some people, but buying food where it was made actually makes a big difference on the environment."
"Why is that?" Jake questions
"Buying food that was made near us will make us use less pollution."
"Mom, what is pollution?"
"That’s a good question. Pollution is when the environment has been filled with chemicals and garbage."

"There are three kinds of pollution; air, water, and land. Air pollution is made when vehicles such as cars and trucks use gasoline to drive. Factories also make pollution. "
"The pollution goes into the Earth's atmosphere which affects many innocent people around the world."
“How can we fix this problem?”
"There are many ways to fix this problem, but one simple way is to buy food from farms that are close by to where we live."
