I'm going to tell you the steps for solving the completing the square problems. Step 1 you Divide all terms by a if possible. Step 2 you move the term c to the right side of the equation. Step 3 you complete the square on the left side of the equation and balance this by adding the same value to the right side of the equation. Step 4 Take the square root on both sides of the equation. Step 5 Subtract the number that remains on the left side of the equation to find.

x2 - 10x + 16 = 0

Tommy began to explain the steps to Mahlen on how the answer to

x2 - 10x + 16 = 0 was x= 8 and x= 2. The first step I moved 16 to the right side of the equation. Then for b I divided it by 2 and squared root it thats how i got 25. Then added it to -16 = 25 and balanced out the equation thats how I got (x-5)2. You square root it on both sides and then subtract and solve for x.
