The winter season was approaching and the Bear family was getting ready for hibernation.

Mama Bear needed to go to the neighborhood market one last time to buy all the food the family would need to hibernate.

Mama Bear had her grocery list ready and checked it one last time before leaving.

Fish,

loaded potato

carrots, and

green beans.

Her son, Little Bear, was so excited. This was going to be his first hibernation!

He saw Mama Bear's grocery list and decided to make one too. On Little Bear's list he included,

toys,

cookies,

cupcakes,

chips.

When Mama Bear and Little Bear arrived at the market, Mama Bear explained they were only going to get the things they needed.

Mama Bear said, "we will only buy what we need."

At the market, Little Bear first saw the cupcakes and cookies. "Mama, mama, we have to get these," shouted Little Bear excitedly.

Mama Bear explained, "Little Bear, that is not on our list. We can only buy the things we need. Cupcakes and cookies are wants."

Little Bear tilted his head in a confused look to Mama Bear. "What do you mean wants?"

"We NEED these!"
