On Christmas Eve, Fred Smith asked his boss Mr. Rodgers if he could get some money for gas to put in his car. Mr. Rodgers said, “No gas costs way too much money this time of the year, don't you already have money to do so”? “ No sir” said Fred, then Fred asked, “May I have the day off tomorrow for Christmas”? “I suppose you could but do you really expect me to pay you”? Said Mr. Rodgers. “Of course not, I will just come earlier the next day” Said Fred. Just then Mr. Rodgers nephew, John came crashing through the door. “Merry Christmas”! Said John as Mr. Rodgers just shook his head. “Idiotic”! Said Mr. Rodgers. “Christmas? Idiotic”? Said John. “Don’t you have a heart”? Said John. “Come have dinner with me tomorrow, maybe it will lift your spirit”. Said John. “Idiotic!” Said Mr. Rodgers.
Oooooowowowoowoh! Mr. Rodgers heard a door swing open. “What’s that, what’s that”? Said Mr. Rodgers. The sounds of chains rattling echoed across the house. “Oh that’s a piece of baloney” Said Mr. Rodgers. “A couple of sounds won’t scare me.” Said Mr. Rodgers. Then Mr. Rodgers saw a shadowy figure. “ You don't recognize me”. Aaron said. “ Who are you“? Said Mr. Rodgers. “I was your partner”. Said Aaron. “No, it can’t be! Why are you chained?” Said Mr. Rodgers. “Each link of this chain represents every bad deed i’ve done. I need to carry these chains around with me for all of eternity”. Said Aaron. “Help me Aaron what can I do”? Said Mr. Rodgers. “Listen to me. You will be visited by three spirits. Listen to them. That’s all I can say”. Said Aaron. “No help me”. Said Mr. Rodgers. But by the time he said that Aaron was already gone.
It was one in the morning when Mr. Rodgers saw the first of the three spirits. “Who are you”? Said Mr. Rodgers. “I am The Ghost of Christmas Past. I will take you on a journey Mr. Rodgers to your past”. Woosh woosh! Suddenly Mr. Rodgers saw his past self in a old factory. “Do you remember this place”? Said The Ghost of Christmas Past. “Of course I do it was the first place that I ever laid eyes on Annabelle”! “Do you know him”? Said The Ghost of Christmas Past. “Yes it’s Mikey! He was my first boss”! Said Mr. Rodgers. “Ah young Annabelle” Said Mr. Rodgers. “I loved her”. “Yet you didn’t marry her. You picked money over her”. Said The Ghost of Christmas Past “Stop”!!! Yelled Mr. Rodgers. Then he found himself back at his house.
It was two in the morning when the second spirit arrived. “Who are you”? Asked Mr. Rodgers. “I am The Ghost of Christmas Present”. Said The Ghost of Christmas Present. He was gigantic. I will bring you to a special person’s house. Then they went of to Fred’s house. “Why have you brung me to my employee’s house”? Said Mr. Rodgers. “Just watch”. Said The Ghost of Christmas Present. All they had was a small chicken. Mr. Rodgers also realized there was a little boy named Tiny Tom had a wooden crutch with him. “Let's have a toast to Mr. Rodgers, the man that made this dinner possible”. Said Fred. “Tiny Tom is going to go soon”. Said The Ghost of Christmas Present. “What? Said Mr. Rodgers. What do you mean”? But The Ghost of `Christmas Present left.
