This book is dedicated to my history teacher because she taught me about the Renaissance and the history to write this story.

In Italy there was a boy named Michael, short for Michelangelo. Michael loved painting and looking at the unique buildings and designs. Michel struggled at first to make his paintings look good but, after a while he got the hang of it and was making beautiful paintings. His father found his paintings and told he to stop because that won't make his family money and so he trusted his father and stop painting but, not forever.
Michael would paint in secret when his father would go to work or sleep. His father worked at a printing press so when he would leave Michael would go to the town sculptor and he would learn how to sculpt. He would get home before his father and he never knew. Until one day when Michael came home too late and his father asked him where he had been. He was a terrible liar so his father caught his bluff. He was not allowed to go back.
Michael stopped painting and sculpting until he got older. After his father passed, he went back to painting and sculpting because it was his dream. He made amazing sculptures and beautiful artwork. Even though his father wasn't proud, he was proud of himself. His mother encouraged him to keep painting because she loved his art and he reminded her of when she was a child wanting to make clothes for the royalty. She followed her dream and makes dresses for them. Michael eventually devoted all of his time to his art.
Michelangelo was arranged into a marriage but, never had kids or was ever home because he loved art more than anything. He proved his father was wrong and made money from his art. He actually made a lot of money. He had made a friend who loved painting too but, he went out and started working at the merchant fleets because he needed more money. He would stand in the town center and paint for the people to watch and he would get some money from that too.Later in his life, he was asked to paint on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. He was shocked that he was asked to paint in such an important place, he was honored.
