


This is Mike. Mike is an extraordinary young boy who loves staying healthy.He knew that staying healthy was very important.


Mike understood that staying healthy and eating right, lowered his risk of diseases. It lowered his chances of getting certain cancers, stroke, and osteoporosis.



Mike knew that staying active and participating in physical activities helped him stay healthy. Mike loved baseball and chose it as one of his activities to do most days. Keeping his body moving helped Mike stay in shape.






Mike always tried to eat healthy foods. He would always try to give his body what it needs. He worked hard to give his body nutrients.


Mike knew that water is essential for about every function in his body. He always tried to stay hydrated because he knew without water his body wouldn't function properly.

Mike always checked the food in his fridge to make sure that it didn't go bad. He always made sure that he was handling food safely so he wouldn't get sick and eat something bad.




When Mike would bring food to his friends he always asked if they were allergic to anything. He knew that if someone ate something they were allergic to they could get sick.

Mike tried to get as much sleep as possible each night. He knew that getting enough sleep was important for his body to function. Not getting enough would make him tired the next day.

Mike went on long walks to stay active. When he went on walks it helped his heart and his body to stay in shape. Mike hated sitting around and doing nothing.

All of these things helped Mike's body perform at peak performance. Mike stood out from everyone he hung around with because he stayed in such good shape.
