My name is Ziggy. I dedicate this book to Bob Marley, my hero.

A long time ago, in a town called Nine Miles, in Jamaica, a boy named Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945.

Growing up, Bob became interested in music with his good friend, Neville “Bunny” O’Riley Livingston. He went to school with Bunny, who was the one who inspired Bob to learn to play guitar

I love to play guitar!!!

In the 1950’s , Bob moved to a town called Kingston, in a neighborhood called Trench Town This was one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods. Even so,  Bob found musical inspiration everywhere, even though he struggled with poverty.

After a while, a producer named Leslie Kong heard Bob and Bunny performing and had Bob record a few songs. Taught by a man named Joe Higgs, Bob, Bunny, and a boy named Peter MacIntosh all formed a band that they called The Wailers.
