George Washington Carver was born in 1864. He was a slave in Missouri with his family. When he was only a few weeks old, his family was taken and George Washington Carver was left all alone.
When Slavery ended, George's Moses Carver and his wife Susan Carver began to teach George. This inspired George to never learning and always seek knowledge.

I Never want to stop gaining Knowledge
George moved went to Simpson college in Iowa, but a teacher convinced him to go to Iowa State and study farming. He impressed everyone around him with his knowledge and completed his degree in farming. He accepted an offer from Booker T. Washington to teach farming and agriculture in a institute in Tuskegee, Alabama.
For 20 years he argued with his principle and struggled with this job. He worked hard to find solutions for poor landless Black Farmers. He looked for inexpensive crops to replace expensive ones. He liked Peanuts because they were healthy and didn't take up much room.
