I discovered genetics by studying heredity. Which I learned from pea plants.

I noticed that some plants have different traits like some had purple flowers others had white flowers

Pollination occurs when pollen from the male reproductive part of the flower (anthers) are transferred to the stigma.

Before I started I made sure to make a lot of purebred. Which are plants known for a certain trait. I True-bred them by self pollinating them

P generation

The purebred parents are called the P generation. I then cross pollinated 2 P generations to create a F1 generation. Which are the children of the P generation
