To all the people who are constantly getting bullied for simply purchasing their dreams....

Dreams are the strings of light in your dark days. They make your life shine with hope. They are simply the master key of the gates of happiness. They can deliver you to a better place, a better life. That’s why it is compulsory to never stop following them and this is what I have learned a long while ago...
I’m your typical straight A student. I like to have everything so clear,so neat that sometimes you will think I am suffering from OCD. My teachers always praise me. But you see, this is one of the main causes of all I’m enduring. I am not the famous boy neither the bad one. I’m different from them my bullies. I don’t like to have a certain haircut that all the teenagers nowadays choose. I like to have my own style. I don’t like to skip classes just so I could play with friends. I find it senseless to waste your time on such trivial things.
I’m Oliver O’Brian.
And here is my story.

I despise being fake, acting like someone else completely different because when you are a pretender you never show your true colors and you deceive people. And that makes me so sorrowful, therefore I prefer to act like myself and not follow the crowd. Even if it makes me different, it also makes me outstanding. And my theory had always helped me to dream big, to be ambitious, to chase my dreams and even hope to change the history of humanity.

Everything was cool until the day when I talked about my dream job: an astronaut. The whole class erupted in laughter. And directly the news was spread all over the school. I felt so humiliated. And here my nightmare began. My bullies are ferocious and I was their new prey. Every day it was a different sort of violence they make me go through. They sometimes cover my locker with insults. Whenever I enter the canteen all eyes will be set on me and giggles would be heard. You have no idea how bad I felt, how much their so called jokes made my heart sting. I felt some sort of alien, a weirdo who was rejected by everyone.

And what made me feel bitter is their brutality that grew day by day at the point where they even dared to shove me onto the wall and beat me. I remember that day, I was a complete mess. I couldn’t stop crying. I felt like an unworthy being, a silly person with senseless hopes. They devalued me and I grew more anxious and even depressed. Until I have come to a conclusion: It was so conspicuous that my dreams are pure illusions. I couldn’t take it anymore: the bullying, the insults and the violence. So I decided to stop it all. I gave up on the one thing that gave me the strength to bear their cruelty: my dreams. I let the darkness overtake my world. I was desperate.

But that didn’t go unnoticed by my English professor who decided to talk to me one day. He approached me, sat on the chair patting the seat next to him and he told me:
-Sit my child I heard what you have been through these two months. And believe me I’m so shocked by their criminal acts for which they are going to be severely punished. But you see you mustn’t let their words get the best of you. Well you will face a lot of difficulties in your life but I know you are going to successfully overcome them because you are genuinely gifted.
