          Hello i am Julia today i got on a plane to 

visit Paraguay, I was very excited because I 

wanted to   learn about this new place. When we 

arrived   we went to the hotel and decided we 

would go to a museum   about Paraguay the next 

day in order to learn about it before exploring it.

    The next morning we woke up and were on 

our way to the museum, they informed us 

about the history of Paraguay. They said that 

the people of Paraguay originated form a mix 

of guarani Indian's and Spanish which came to 

explore around the 1620. They said that once 

the Spanish rule was abolished while they were 

independent they gained a dictatorship.In 

1811 the dictatorship was abolished and they 

gained a Nominal Republic government.

   Then we moved on to the next exhibit which 

was the arts, and customs . The guide told us 

that the main religion in is paraguay is Roman 

Catholic.

   The official Paraguayans dances are the pol-

ca and the bottle dance. Which is when you 

dance and balance a bottle on your head.  

Poetry is also considered a main art, music is  

mostly influenced   by European music   though 

church music is mostly sung in Guarani.

     The guide took us to the economy and food 

customs exhibit .

     I learned that Paraguay's economy is highly 

independent and that it depends on   agree 

culture. natural resources are also a huge part 

of its economy.Paraguay has recently gained  

hydroelectric power as a major economic 

resource, and forestry. 

   Usual food that you can find mostly comes 

from roots like the yucca, they also eat grains, 

and beef.

       The people in Paraguay's ethnic groups a 

mostly mestizo, Spanish and American indian.

The main languages are Spanish   and guarani.
