This is Jasmine. She doesn’t have many friends. Most of the students at school make fun of her because she has a anger problem. Since Jasmine doesn’t have very many friends, she enjoys walking around in the forest, which is behind her house.

She started thinking about what the kids at school say, and slowly started to get very upset.

“You’re always so mean to everyone.” “this is why you have no friends” “this is why no one likes you” as those thoughts raced through her head. She started to cry, but the tears weren’t from sadness. The tears were from her anger.

Jasmine started yelling.

“Stupid school. Stupid kids. Stupid parents!”

“They don’t know anything about me!” She shouted at nothing.

Jasmine began to rip branches off of trees and shout.  As she was doing that a voice yelled at her.

“OUCH! HEY, THAT HURTS STOP!”

Jasmine stopped dead in her tracks, scared.

“W-who was that?” She nervously asked as she turned around looking for the source of the voice.

“I’m right in front of you, can’t you see me?” The voice said.

“The only thing in front of me is a tree though.” Jasmine replied confused.

“Yes, I am a tree. I’m the Tree of Wisdom. You’ve been hurting the forest for a long time now little girl. You need to stop.”

“Wait trees can talk?” Jasmine asked still confused.

“No, only I can. You're hurting me, and all my friends can’t you see that?

“Oh! I’m sorry I didn’t know I didn't mean to hurt you Tree. I’m just having a really bad day. All the kids in my school make fun of me.” Jasmine said to the tree in a sad voice.

“Why do they make fun of you? There has to be a reason why?” The tree asked.

“Well the kids say I have anger issues, and that I won't make any friends if I don’t fix my anger.” Jasmine said.

“Well I am only a tree, but what I can tell you is that you need to control your anger. That will help your friend problem.” The tree said.

“Well I can’t because I have nobody to talk to. It kind of makes me mad, and I can’t control it.” Jasmine replied.

“Well I will be your friend.” The tree said.

“You will?! I always wanted a friend! Not this way, which is with a tree, but I never have anyone to talk to!” Jasmine said excitedly.
