One day Leigh-Anne and her family went to the beach on a beautiful sunny day because they wanted to have a day out. Leigh-Anne wanted to stay by the water to see if she could find a mermaid, while the rest of her family made sandcastles further away.

Leigh-Anne was still looking for a mermaid when all of a sudden there was a big splash and then she spotted what looked like a pink tailed mermaid. She was really anxious because she thought it was going to hurt her. Panicking, Leigh-Anne looked behind her but her family was nowhere to be seen. She was about to scream when the mermaid said "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. Come and join me in the water. By the way my name is Avalon."

Leigh-Anne took a deep breath and nervously dived into the water. To her surprise, Leigh-Anne suddenly found that she had grown a beautiful scaly tail. She could even talk under water! Leigh-Anne was so happy that she did a flip under water. "Yay," Leigh-Anne screamed "I can swim now!"

It took a while for Avalon to explain why she had come to the beach, and then Avalon blurted out "Please save my kingdom and rescue the queen because she has been trapped by the evil twins!"

"I'll do my best" said Leigh-Anne enthusiastically and they swam towards the kingdom.

After a long journey they arrived at the magical enchanting kingdom. Leigh-Anne and Avalon were very happy that they had finally reached the kingdom. But their happiness was short-lived when they found the evil twins were standing outside the castle. "This is what I was telling you about." said Avalon to Leigh-Anne.
