Hello my name is Sandy , I am a sedimentary rock. This is my story on how I became a sedimentary rock.

There are four steps to how I got this way.

1: erosion    2: deposition

3: compaction 4:cementation

One day i was minding my business and it started raining.The rain started to loosen and break sediments off of me.The wind started blowing really hard.

I soon was  up in the air. I was twirling and dancing along with the wind. When I opened my eyes I was far away from home. I realized I looked different.

Many other sediments have gotten stuck to me. I  was trying and trying to get them off but they were now permanent. This made me bigger and stronger.

Weeks passed and more sediments became attached. They are now a part of me. When the next rain came around it moved me to the river.

My minerals were dissolving in the water very slowly.This glued all the minerals and crystals together.

And this is how I turned into a sedimentary rock. I used to be a pebble before the four steps of the sedimentary rock cycle. Erosion,deposition,compaction,and cementation
