This book is a modern day interpretation of the story of The Lost Sheep from Mathew 10:18-13.
“Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven. What do you think? If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. "

Lilly and her class were getting ready to go on a field trip to the Zoo.
She said goodbye to her Dad and Mum and got ready to hop on the Bus

Lilly and her friends were having so much fun looking at all the different animals.
They saw tigers, tall giraffes and elephants that were twice the size of them!

Look at all the animals class.
After they had seen all the animals it was time to go home.
As Lilly walked past the Zoo gift store she saw a stuffed Lion that she wanted. She made sure no one was looking, and ran into the store.

Lets go class!
The stuffed Lion was really cute. Lily used the $5 dollar note her mum had given her to catch the bus home and quickly bought the Lion.
When Lilly walked outside she realised that the rest of the class was gone. Lilly quickly realised that she was Lost.

It was time to go home. The class started to get back on the bus. Suddenly Mrs Miles realised someone was missing.
"Where is Lilly?" said Mrs Miles
No one knew where Lilly was. Mrs Miles said to her class to stay where they were and told them that she would be right back.
