Federalism is the type of government we have today. In federalism, the power is divided between the federal government and the states.


What kind of powers?
There are 4 types of power that may be given to the federal government or states. These powers are Enumerated, Reserved, Concurrent and Denied.
What does that mean?

Enumerated powers are powers given to the national government


An Enumerated power of the federal government is to coin and print money.


Another Enumerated power of the federal government is to create a postal system.


Reserved powers are powers given to the state.

A Reserved power of the states is to conduct elections
