My mom helped me walk down the large steep steps, as I closed my eyes, anxious to see the beautiful new atmosphere when my weary eyes would open. I got to the last step and stopped to take everything in. The breeze passing by making small strands of hair hit my face, while sand slowly but surely snuck into the crevasses of my sandals. Then, as I hesitantly opened my eyes I saw an adventure waiting to happen. I knew for a fact I was in paradise!
I was totally speechless. It was hard to stay still. My eyes were hooked on the ocean. At that moment all I wanted to do was swim off far away into the distance, as the waves pushed me back and forth. I can only imagine my dad feeling the same way I did. He has been to Hawaii many more times than I had, but he was acting like this was his first time seeing the place. I couldn’t wait there just looking at the water any longer. “C’mon let’s gooo,” I yelled losing my patience. “I wanna go play!”
“Alright, how about we get to know this place?” my mom said, talking in a voice any typical mature mother would use.

Hey, come play with us!
My brother soon caught up with the rest of us as we began to walk towards the beach. “Hey Katie,” he called, “are you ready to catch some waves?”
“I don’t know,” I said getting a little concerned. “What if I get caught up in a wave and drown?”
“Aww come on don’t be a scaredy cat.”
“I’m not a scaredy cat” I firmly yelled with a confident and mature tone.
A few minutes later we ended our conversation by giving each other sassy looks as we darted out into the sunny distance running after each other.

My family and I decided to take a vacation to Hawaii over the summer and just take some time to relax and plainly have fun. My mom, dad, brother Peter, sister Ashley, and I were ready to get this thing started! But apparently, we have to get situated first. We were meeting with a realtor agent that would show us some condos. I always expected all condos would be tiny and yucky, but wow, little did I know I was totally wrong. They were absolutely beautiful!

We chose a condo that had marble floors, off white walls, a balcony, 3 bedrooms, and was right by an ice cream shop. 10 Minutes in my siblings and I were unpacking when my parents stepped into the living room with a special announcement. "In three days, which will be Tuesday, we will be going to a hands on aquarium where we could swim with dolphins!" my father pronounced. After hearing that I couldn't help but to freak out. I LOOOVVVEEE dolphins and couldn't wait to make some new ocean buddies!

Hawaii's greatest aquarium is waiting for YOU. Come on down check out some fun animals and get a chance to play with dolphins! Find more info on our website shown below.
After days of what seemed to be eternal fun, it was finally Tuesday! I made sure to wake up my family extra early so no time would be wasted. We could have some fun, get ready for the aquarium and be there in a snap!

Wake up!

I'm already up!

We finally arrived at the aquarium, and it was gorgeous! My family and I browsed the museum and returned to the entrance where a tall man with an orangish tan and tight curls, bouncing with every move, followed us out into the back sanctuary where all the dolphins were. I was in total awe! I could hear the dolphins “speaking” and definitely splashing, that I could feel too.
