Individual rights- Rights all citizens possess; found in the Bill of Rights.

Ashley is a 9 year old girl who dislikes her current school. She wants to be home schooled, but when she asks, both the school district and the government don't allow her.

"You live in a dangerous neighborhood." The police officer said. Not noticing how upset she was.
"Why not?" she asks, upset at their decision.
She tries to make new friends but it doesn't work out for her. Everyone keeps ignoring her and she thinks it isn't fair that the government won't let her be home schooled. "I need to do something about this." she thought.
Three days later, she learns about the seven Principles of government. That's when she learns about Individual Rights. Individual rights give the power to the people and allows them to speak their minds. Hey! She thought, I can get out of here with this.
Ashley then finds out that she has the freedom to be home schooled. She got mad that the government didn't allow her to be home schooled. "I will be homeschooled!" she promises herself
Ashley and her family go to court to talk to the judge. Giving complaints about the rights she was not allowed.

I should be able to be home schooled. I have individual rights, just like everyone! It's in the constitution.
After much arguing and compromising, the judge approves of her being home schooled. Ashley and her family head back home.
