Hi, my name is Daphne Garcia which means victory. I am 9 years old and I live with my sister and brother my mom and dad in the city of San Salvador.
One day I was outside with my friend and my mom called me in to tell me that someone said that a bad guy named Pedro de Alvarado, was trying to take over us.
He tried to take us over right away but there was already attacks from native here.
He didn't give up there he can back to campaign in El Salvador in 1526-1528 and soon enough we became a Spanish colony.
El Salvador stayed under Spanish control around 300 years or 3 centuries
