Thomas Edison was not the first to come up with the idea of the light bulb. British inventors invented an electric light with an arc lamp, but they burnt out and didn't stay on for very long. Therefore, Edison wanted to make a Light Bulb that will stay on for a very long time.

Before the invention of the light bulb, you needed all the supplies to make it; the wires, glass bulb, filament, and the mount.

Edison wanted to make a bulb that goes down in history, that has a longer lifespan, and has brighter visible light. He also loved experimenting when he was a kid.

First, Edison and his team made a plan to focus on improving the filament. Edison and his team experimented with many things and many times, most of them didn't work.
