It's matchpoint

It's match point, sweat dripping down my face, bouncing the ball to the rhythm of my heartbeat. The whole stadium goes quiet.

I aced him, my serve has never made that sound before, I won. My emotions overwhelmed me and my knees buckled to the ground. I can't believe it!

I stood up, looked to my box and the amount the amount of positive emotions they were showing made this more unbelievable as they have been with me the entire way.

I went over to shake my opponent's hand and he said "Congratulations, you deserved this" and I said back " Thank you , I appreciate it"

It's time for the ceremony, everyone getting everything ready: the trophies, the stage and the equipment. From what I heard the ceremony is quite long and whoever told me that was right, it was very long until they announced the players, they firstly announced the runner up and presented him with his trophy and then it was time, my time.

Some time has gone by and it's time to go to the press conference but as I'm walking down the hall one of my childhood idols walked up saying "Congratulations , you performed out of your shoes today"

I replied "Thank you so much, I try my best to."

"You have a great career ahead of you, just keep on going" he said just before he left .

And the announcer says "Your Wimbledon champion everybody, Stephan Thompson"

The crowd starts clapping

I entered the room, sat down and started to answer some questions

It's been 20 minutes and all the usual questions were asked but this one reporter, he looked young and inexperienced but he asked me a question" What's the main thing you did to achieve your dreams/goals?"

I replied "Oh that's a good question but you have to believe, work hard and have the desire to achieve that goal."

The press conference finished and it's time to go to the locker room and shower

I was finished showering, now it was time to go home but on my way out, there are some reporters waiting.
