Hello! My name is Noah, and my mom is Deaf!

Hello!

She relies on American Sign Language to communicate!

In fifth grade, I met my best friends! Their names are Jake, Austin, and Seth.

On December 7th, it was my birthday! I invited my friends over to my house

I was so excited! But wait... I just remembered my mom is Deaf......

"Oh no!" I thought. "I can't invite them over! They will make fun of me for my mom being Deaf and not want to be friends with me anymore!"

I couldn't cancel though, that would be even more embarrassing! They would wonder why and ask me questions!

It was an hour before they were going to come over. I felt sick!

An hour passed, they were outside of my front door. Here goes nothing...

"Uhh, hey guys. Let's go to my room, hurry!"

Jake: "Where are your parents?"

Seth: "Yeah, aren't you going to introduce us?"

Mom

That's when my mom walked up....

She signs: "Hey guys! How are you? I'm Noah's mom!"

Nice to meet you!

Then all of a sudden.....

Austin signs back... "Nice to meet you!"

Woah!! I didn't know he knew sign language!!!
