Yes. I'm a cockroach.

Actually I am a Madagascar hissing cockroach and I am really, really cool. Let me tell you all about me!

Whenever people see a cockroach they think all we want to do is eat their food.

I'll be honest, I do like your yummy food

when you leave it out.

But there is so much more to us than

just eating your food! Let me tell

you more.

When cockroaches eat, we help the planet.

You know the leaves that fall down off of trees?

We eat those! We help keep the forest

floor clean so more plants can grow.

We also eat animals that may

have died. We really do

help keep the planet clean.

Cockroaches have been around since the time of dinosaurs! We have been living on earth long before humans were.
