I'm a silver whit metal. I have an atomic number of 92, this means I have 92 protons and 92 electrons. I also have an atomic mass of 238.02. my family is Actinides, and my period is 7.

History

Hello! My name is uranium but you can call me U for short. I was founded in 1789 by Martin Heinrich Klaproth, he named me after the planet Uranus.

Uses of uranium:

I'm used to help power the nuclear power plants but only a little bit because 1 kilogram can produce as much as 1500 tons of coal.

I'm also used a lot to generate heat in the nuclear power reactors.

And I'm made into glass that makes a yellow to green colours.
