About the project
The aim of the project is to make pupils understand that science is beautiful and that there are both female scientists and male scientists. Who is a scientist? is science just a matter for men?
Pupils know about scientist form other country
Pupils make small scientific experiments at school (like floating bodies in the water ...)
Pupils begin to look at the world with a scientific eye: they observe carefully,
make assumptions,
conduct experiments,
create a table where to record the data,
insert the data in the table.
Pupils understand how a scientist can help the world to became a better place to live.
Pupils create a small ebook with all the project process experience at school
WORK PROCESS
1)During the Christmas period, students from partner schools exchange wishes with handmade Christmas cards. There are exchanges of information about the typical Christmas sweet of the various partners countries.
2)Teachers introduce science topics by doing experiments at school.
3)Teachers make brainstorming with the students about what is science and what is a scientist, is science beautiful, a child can be a scientist?
4)Students see movies, photos, and documents about women who love science.
Each partner school prepares presentation of a local woman scientist to the other partner schools. All the school partners must know about Marie Curie.
At the end of the project, a unique storyjumper book is created by all partners that contains all the work processes in the project, especially the scientist women known in the project....
