This book is dedicated to my father whom first introduced me to computers!

Today we are going to tell you about the 4 basic things that a computer does!
What could they be?

The first thing is Input.
Here is a definition of input:
Input [in-poo t]
Noun
1. Something that is put in
2. The act of putting something in
3. Data to be entered into a computer for processing
We are most interested in Definition 3:
Data to be entered into a computer for processing
How do we enter data into a computer?
There are many ways to enter data into a computer!

Some examples are:

Keyboard
Mouse
Microphone
Camera
All the devices take information and inputs them into the computer!
A keyboard will input the keys pressed.
A mouse will input commands to control the cursor.
A microphone will input audio.
A camera will input video.

Now if there's an input is there quite possibly an output?
Output [out-poo t]
Noun
1. The act of production
2. The quantity produced in a given time
3. The process of transferring data to an external medium
Once again we are interested in Definition 3:
The process of transferring data to an external medium
What could these external mediums be?
The two most common external mediums or output devices are:

Monitor (Visual)
Speakers (Audio)
Now you are wondering how does a computer process and stores inputs and information to turn it to output.
The two remaining basic functions of a computer are processing and storage!
Process [pros-es]
Verb
1. To carry out operations on data or programs
There are more definitions, but I cut to the chase and listed the one we are concerned about.
