Hi I'm Allison!! I love to learn about the plates that make up the earth! These plate hit each other, slide past each other, and pull away from each other. They create volcanoes, trechess, and Mountains.

This is Mt. Rainier in Washington State. Mt. Rainier was Created by the Jaun De Fuca plate going under the North American plate. The Jaun De Fuca plate is denser so it pushes the North American plate up creating mountains. When they are created the cracks in the crust then make it so magma goes up in it. This means its a volcano. Mount rainier is part of a thing called the ring of fire.

This is the Great Riff Valley. It's 6,000 kilometers in length. The plates that make the great riff valley are The African plate and the Arabian plate. This is a divergent boundary where the plate spread apart.
