Isla and Hadley were great friends. They did everything together. Many people said that their friendship was unbreakable. Isla was very fond of Hadley, and Hadley was very fond of Isla too ! They told each other their deepest of secrets. They both were friends since they were babies ! And their parents were friends since they were babies too. Thus, they were family friends. Isla's father worked on the ship, so she didn't see him much. And Hadley's father worked in the army, so she didn't see him much too. It was only their mothers they saw more often. But they saw each other the most often ! Isla had a black kitten called 'Pebbles', while Hadley had a white kitten called 'Gems'. They loved their kittens dearly ! And if you see Hadley, Isla will be nearby.

Isla and Hadley were in the same class. Their class teacher was Miss. Daisy. Miss. Daisy was a very good teacher. Thus everyone liked her. Their school was a school in which we are allowed to carry our own pets. So everyone carried their pets, including Isla and Hadley. Isla's father always tried telling her that they have to move to Texas due to his transfer, but Isla always coaxed and convinced him to stay in New York itself. She did that because she didn't want to get separated from Hadley at all ! But the pair of them knew it that Isla might move to Texas one or the other day. So they decided to spend their time together until Isla moves. But they were very scared about Isla's transfer to Texas.

One day, their worst nightmare came true. Isla was actually moving to Texas ! Their parents were very sad for each other. Even Pebbles and Gems were because they too were great friends. But Isla and Hadley burst out crying and hugged each other. But they decided to make their last moments together a joyful one, so they went off to play together till Isla's taxi comes to pick them up. They both tried very hard not to cry. While they were playing, Hadley's parents helped Isla's parents pack the luggage bags. Isla and Hadley's heart sank when the taxi came. They hugged each other tightly for one last time, and Hadley watched Isla's taxi go towards the airport sadly. She was feeling very sad that she couldn't do anything.
