"Good morning class!" says the teacher. "Today's lesson will cover proper etiquette when on the internet. Let's begin with the meaning of etiquette."

"Netiquette is a set of rules for young children like yourself when using the internet. We follow these rules for the internet, social media, texting, and much more!"

"Digital Etiquette is used everywhere you go! It is used in school, at work, and for your safety. Children are taught to not plagiarize, employees need to type proper emails, and people like you learn how to be respectful to others online!"

"Mostly used at work, e-mail is a way to send letters to someone else online instantly. Workers are taught to send proper e-mails with little to no mistakes. And, they are also taught to send e-mails professionally. E-mails that are written out of anger or rage are bad."

"Did you know Luis? A lot of people text everyday, but make mistakes too! It's important to know that making a slight mistake can drastically change the message's meaning. Be nice to who you are texting too, it's difficult to know what someone is thinking on the other end.

"Social Media is the coolest thing for young people today, but it can be risky too. When on social media, always respect strangers. Never yell at them say anything mean. It's not same like it is in person. Also, think twice before you post. You never know who can see it."

"The online world can be confusing and sometimes dangerous. But there are safe ways to follow when surfing the internet! I'm sure your parents have told you Luis that you should never talk to strangers. The same rule applies online. Don't talk to anyone you don't know. If you are unsure, ask a friend.
