Hello my name is adam the atom! Today I will be taking you along with me on my many cycles.

But first I would like to tell you about myself.

I am an element that is put into the atmosphere also known as air.

I can also found in living things and things that were once living.

These cycle can take up to years to travel through. But i will just be taking you through all the stops of each cycle.

We are actually at my main stop right now, our atmosphere.

Carbon is taken out and also put into the atmosphere in many ways. This why the atmosphere is my most visited stop.

I am now finding my way to a plant.

This is the start to a process called, photosynthesis.

What is photosynthesis? Well it is a process that pants go though to make energy.

In this process plants take in Carbon Dioxide, water and sunlight.

The result of that makes sugar and Oxygen, which also going into the atmosphere.

The next stop is the transferring myself into an animal by the process of breathing.

what is cellular respiration? Well the process gives living organisms energy.

What is needed for this process? Glucose also known as sugar made from photosynthesis and oxygen.

What is released during cellular respiration? Carbon dioxide and water are released at the end of the process.

The next stop begins when the animal dies, they soon start to decay into the ground.
