Once there was a girl named Alice. She wanted to learn more about Ancient Greece. So she went to the library to learn more about it. She found many books about Ancient Greece including books about their government, the people, the art, the literature, and the science. As she was going through the book she noticed that some of these ideas were modified and still used today.
Chapter 2
Government
In the book about government she read that they made laws to keep order and there were punishments for the people who committed crimes. There were trials and they were a democracy. We still have these today but they have been modified so that women have equal rights and slavery is illegal.
Chapter 3
People
In the book about people and leaders she read that there were many philosophers including Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, they were the lovers of wisdom. There were also writers like Aeschlyus who wrote tragedies. Today we have writers and a plays.
Leaders
There were leader also including Philip II and Alexander. Philip ruled and wanted to take over all of the Persian Empire. but he died and Alexander took over and conquered the Persian Empire and many other lands. We fought to gain lands from other countries.
Chapter 4
Art
In the book about art and architecture she read that they had theater and poetry, which is still used today. They also had artists who painted, drew, and created sculptures, and there are still artists today.
