Jean Toomer

Jean toomer was born in washington Dc and raised by his mother

Jean toomer's mother got remarried and got transferred to an all white school

Toomer suddenly got confused on his race because of the school change. He had went from an all black school to an all white school. Toomer had realized that he could identify races .

In 1910 his mother died and he moved back to Dc with his grandparents

As jean toomer got older,He went on to study at the University of Chicago,The American College of physical training, New York University and City College of new york, and took many courses to get to his desire to become a medical doctor and a physical education instructor

In 1920 Jean toomer’s grandparents got sick so he returned to Washington

Later toomer was forces to get a job to take care of financial issues. He got a position as head of a school in Sparta George
