FDR was nominated for a second term, and Alfred Landon was nominated for the presidential election in 1936. FDR won by an major majorities in both houses.

The Works progress Administration, headed by Harry Hopkins, set out to create as many jobs as quickly as possible. $11 million was spent to 8 million workers jobs. people got to work so they got money, which started to give the country back some dignity.
