Have you ever heard of the Scientific Revolution? It wasn't a war, it was a sort of 200 years of inventions. During these 200 years scientists found out why we can breathe in everyday, and why there are 365 days in a year. This story will go through 9 scientists who discovered how the entire world works. It all started almost 700 years ago, when a doctor called Andreas Vesalius began to study the human body.
Andreas Vesalius was a doctor of sorts who discovered how all of the different parts of the body come together to make a human, like you! People used to think that we were the same inside as animals, but Vesalius discovered that we were different.

Nicolaus Copernicus was an astronomer, someone who studied outer space! He came up with the idea of a Heliocentric universe. That means that the Earth circles around the sun, so that we have day and night!
Tycho Brahe was also someone who studied the galaxy. He started a big observatory, a place used just so that you can see Outer Space. His assistant, Johannes Kepler, discovered that not only did the Earth go around the sun, it went around the sun in an egg shaped path, or an elliptical orbit.

Francis Bacon came up with the idea of Inductive Reasoning. This idea is when you think something is bacon, so you smell it. Does it smell like bacon? Yes. To double check you also taste the piece. Does it taste like bacon? Yes. You just used Inductive Reasoning!

Galileo Galilei was an astronomer. Do you remember what that means? To study Outer Space! Galileo also believed that the Earth travels around the sun, and he improved an important tool to figure this out. It's something like an empty tube with a wide piece of glass at the end and a smaller piece of glass at the front. Can you guess what it is? A Telescope!

Sir Isaac Newton was a mathematician, or a math magician if you prefer. Newton was a wiz at math and developed some super complicated equations that are used in Calculus, math for geniuses, which you are of course.
