I dedicate this book to my family

Once upon a time, a girl named Loreana lived in San Marcos, Guatemala. She was one year old when her dad left home to pursue a better life in the United States.
Lorena, her siblings, and mom stayed with Lorena's grandparents, Lili and Oscar.
A year later, Lorena's mom traveled to the United States, too. She left her kids under the care of Lili and Oscar.

Lorena's grandparents were lovely but unfortunately Oscar, had a drinking problem.
Life was difficult when Oscar was drunk. Everyone was scared of him because he was violent.
Many times Lorena, her siblings, and the grandmother had to run away from Oscar to be safe.

There were many problems with the grandparents; as a result, Lorena and her siblings had to move out.
They went to live with aunt Teresa and her kids.
Sadly, Lorena and her siblings were abused by these relatives, also. For three years, the kids had to do all the house chores. Lorena's parents heard about their kids suffer and did something amazing.
