I am angry because I miss my old family

is for BACKWARDS

I feel backwards because things are different than they were before

is for CRUSHED

I am crushed because my parents are not together anymore

is for Dinner

I miss dinner time when my parents were both at the table

is for EMPTY

I feel empty inside because it seems like my parents do not have as much time for me

is for FANTASY

It feels like everything is a fantasy and that none of what is happening is real

is for GAMES

I miss playing games together with my family

is for HURT

I feel hurt because no one gave me any say in what is happening

is for IDEAS

I feel like I can not come up with new ideas and think like I did before

is for JOKES

It is hard to laugh at jokes because I feel down

is for KIND

People keep telling me to be kind but it is hard when I am upset

is for LONELY

I feel lonely because I do not get to see both of my parents at the same time

is for MOVING

I am sad we are moving and leaving our old house

is for NEW

I do not know how to deal with all the new and different things that are happening

BUT...I am starting to get better at it everyday

is for OPEN

I am open to understanding that everything will be okay

is for PROUD

I feel proud because I am overcoming the challenges and sadness I felt
