Will Connolly was sitting under a tall tree. The ancient people called it ‘the lightning tree’ as its fruits were yellow like the lightning and they gave the one that would eat them the power to control thunderstorms. He knew that from his grandma, the one who had taken care of him since his parents died in a car accident when Will was very young, but he thought it was just a fairy tale.
Will’s hair was as red as the fire and his eyes as blue as the sea. He was not very tall and his classmates nicknamed him ‘Stick Willy’ because he was unusually slim. But Will never cared about that. He only cared about his beloved tree, the lightning tree.
At that moment, sitting there on the tiny hill, with the fresh smell of fresh grass everywhere around him and the dark blue sky above his head, Will was wondering what the fruits taste like. He looked at the tree and said to himself: ‘I bet I can climb up there.’
Will ate the pear thinking that he could get superpowers. After eating it, nothing happened - he was normal, so he went to his house like always.
In the morning the boy suddenly felt a chill. He thought that it was normal, so he continued his routine. Downstairs, in the kitchen, while he was eating his cereal, Will's mum saw that her son got green spots all over his body. Very worried, she decided to take him to the hospital because that rash seemed unusual.
The doctor said that he could be allergic to pears, so he gave him medicines to get rid of all the spots.

Will took the pills for seven days and the spots disappeared. One day, in the playground, when Will looked at a girl, she immediately fell to the ground. The boy did not understand a thing. However, the teacher called the ambulance and gave the boy a warning as she thought that that the boy had attacked the girl.
The boy was in his house very confused and angry. Suddenly, he was hot and started to throw thunders. The sky turned black, there were clouds, lights and thunders, and the lights in the house went out.
