Thank you to one of my very dear friends for giving me the inspiration on writing this book and for opening up to me and telling me your story!
- Jessica

It all started off when Juanito's parents woke him up early in the morning because it was time for them to start a new life in an unknown place.

Juanito had a notebook where he would draw and write about how he was feeling. He noticed himself writing about how him having to move across the country. He was excited, but nervous at the same time.

Wherever Juanito went, he took his notebook. He wrote down everything. He drew a lot of the time, especially pictures of what he saw. There was one mountain that he saw while he was on the bus. It seemed to be as if there was something burning at the top of it.

Juanito was having some trouble trying to understand what he was feeling. He knew
that moving was in his best interest and for his family's interest. He just didn't like that he had
to leave all of his friends back at home.
But mom I don't wanna move anymore! I wanna stay at home. I don't even know the language all that well.

We know that this is gonna be hard for all of us, but moving is what we have to do. We want you to have a better life and have the opportunities that we didn't.
His parents decided that they needed to have a conversation with him and get to know what he was really feeling.
Juanito and his parents finally arrived to their new home. It was different, but after seeing how nice it was Juanito felt like he could get used to it.

Juanito went to the playground so he could try and make some friends. He knew it would be hard because speaking English was a bit difficult for him.

Juanito decided that he was going to take a walk through the trail. He saw all types of animals. He noticed that one of the little boys that was at the playground was following him.
