Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for a white man. She knew that she needed to let others know that she can have the seat just like a white person would have. This created a boycott in the town of Montgomery, Alabama where African Americans refused to ride the bus until they were given equal respect on the bus.
Rosa Parks is considered to be the Mother of the Civil Rights Movement. Giving opportunities for other African Americans to rise up and have a voice, because of the sacrifices that Rosa Parks went through there were more protests and movements created.
