Mother Earth.

She had been around for millions of years before humans walked on her soils, and the life as well as ecosystems have flourished over the past few million years.

One of these wonderful places would be our Ocean.

The ocean and it's inhabitants are only part of our world but still play a large role in the balance of all living things.

The oceans also are home to a very special marine organism: coral.

Believe it or not, coral actually aren't plants.

They're animals!

Coral tend to stick in one place for most of their lifetimes and are sessile creatures.

Which means that they are not able to protect themselves and simply swim to other locations whenever something bad happens to it's environment....

Coral tend to bond with algae in order to feed and breathe. When the water starts to become dangerously warm, the algae leaves the coral.

This is the cause of Coral Bleaching, in which the coral cannot survive and begins to die as a result of unstable conditions.

Instead its bright and beautiful colors, the coral becomes white and hollow.

This is happening to corals all over the world, and even in places like the Great Barrier Reef.

So, what can we do to help our corals and prevent further damage?

We first have to bring awareness to the fact that this is happening in the first place.

Our oceans are being affected by how much pollution and garbage is flowing into it. The ocean is also starting to become warmer and is hurting the marine life.

How exactly can we go about this?
