Different Types of Government

I did not know that there were so many different types of government. I thought that there was only a democracy, but believe it or not there are many more different types of Government. the other types of government are, dictatorship, totalitarian, theocracy, republic, monarchy, and anarchy. Democracy- Government of the people by the people and for the people. citizens have a voice in how they are ruled.

the countries that are a democracy are, Norway, Iceland, Swedan, New Zeland, Denmark,Canada, Ausralia, Ireland, Switterland, United States And Finland.

Dictatorship - Power is held by a single person or party. Power gained power through force and everyone has to follow his policies.

The countries that are a dictatorship are Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan.Bahrain, Belarus, Brunei, Burundi.Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Republic of Congo, Cuba.Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia.Gabon.Iran, Iraq.Kazakhstan.Laos, Libya.

North Korea, Cuba, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Venezuela it is close, yet technically not totalitarian. The ONLY five communist countries left in the world are, in no specific order, People's Republic of China.

Totalitarian - a system of government that is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state.
