Anna and Olivia are best friends. Anna is short with long brown hair. She is 25 years old.  She is 9 months pregnant.

Anna is funny. She likes to make jokes. Anna is a lifeguard in NYC.

She does not like driving. Instead she runs a lot. Anna’s big feet help her run. But she is very clumsy.

Olivia is blonde and tall with big feet. She is very smart. She had a perfect SAT score. Olivia is a lifeguard with Anna.

Olivia is excited for Anna to have the baby. Anna was due to give birth yesterday.

Olivia likes to visit the city. She convinced Anna to go with her to a restaurant in NYC. They were running late. It was raining and dark.

This made them sad. The road was very busy. There was a 5 lane divided highway. The light was green but they ran across the street.

Anna slipped and fell in the middle of the road. Olivia dragged her out of the street by her hair. Anna broke her leg. Olivia doesn’t like how clumsy Anna is.

She wants to help Anna to the emergency room. They drove to the hospital in a taxi. They didn’t have money to pay for the taxi.

The emergency room was busy. They signed in. I went to the crowded waiting room. Anna called her husband.

Anna was put on a hospital bed and they took an x ray. Anna’s water broke in the x-ray machine.

They meet a lot of doctors. The doctors help Anna’s leg. The doctors fixed the pain. They put the leg in a cast.

Anna’s husband arrived at the hospital and Anna gave birth. She had twins!

Olivia and Anna learned to listen to crossing signals. Remember not to run in a busy street at night. Think before you act.
