Molly the mermaid loved her life. She was surrounded by the best of friends. She most enjoyed collecting pearls and having her hair braided.

However, Molly sometimes felt different. She couldn't swim like her friends, as her tail was kinked further to the left than the right.

Come August, it was time for Molly to go to swim school with her friends, but when she arrived, the head mistress informed her that she was not allowed to attend the school because of her tail.

Molly was so crushed. "I'll never be able to swim with my friends now." She told herself. She waited alone each day, waiting for her friends to come home from school. She began feeling left out, as her friends swam too fast and would leave her behind.

Until one day Molly had a big IDEA!

Molly believed she had just as much right to learning how to swim as her friends, regardless of the kink in her tail. She took her stance all the way to the king of the reef and fought for what she knew was right.
