I dedicate this book with love
to my children,
Jacob and Noah.

Les and his monster truck friends were enjoying the day at their favorite gas station. When Mr. Brown, the store owner, came out to share some exciting news.

Mr. Brown announced that the monster truck tournament was coming to town! He insisted that Les and his friends enter the tournament.

As the friends raced home to share the exiting news, Les could not help but doubt himself.
All of the other monster trucks are bigger and stronger. I will never win.

At home Les drove back and forth.
After a long time of debating, Les decided that he would face his fears! He was going to enter the competition.

Les raced off! He was on his way to the tournament, when he ran into James, the wolf.

You? You are not a real monster truck. You are too weak to win.
Hi James! I am on my way to win the monster truck tournament!

Les could not shake off what James had told him. Was he too weak? Did he have what it takes? Should he even try? Les' thoughts were going crazy.

Les made a decision. He was not going to let James opinion stop him! He was going to make his dream of winning a reality!
I do not care what James thinks about me! I am strong. I am a real monster truck. I will win this competition!

FINISH LINE

As Les arrived to the tournament, he could see his friends already practicing their moves. Les decided to join them.
He was excited and nervous as he waited his turn to impress the judges.
