Confucius was born on 551 BC in China. Most of his childhood was spent in poverty because his family was poor.

Confucius' father died when he was only three years old. He was only raised by his mother.

His early career started by being a shepherd and a clerk.

Soon, Confucius came to work for the government. He started out as the governor of a small town.

Eventually, he was moved up to some of the top levels of the government.

As he grew old, Confucius started his own philosophy and began to teach it to others.

Be the best person you can be !

Today his philosophy is known as Confucianism.
