K-ESS2-1
Use and share observations of local weather conditions to describe patterns over time

We have many different kinds of weather that we experience here on Earth, but also just in Kansas. The weather in Kansas changes frequently and we should be prepared for all of them every day.

One type of weather that we experience is sunny. Sunny days mean that the sun is out and about in the sky with no clouds covering it.

Cloudy days can vary a lot. They can be days where the sun is out and clouds are covering it or they can be days where the sun is not out and the clouds are out.

Rain can be described as liquid water in the form of droplets that fall from the sky. Therefore, rainy days have water dropping from the sky.

Stormy weather is where rain is falling and lightning is crackling across the sky. Thunder is usually booming as well. Usually means we will be getting a lot of rain.
