Product Property: logb(m)+logb(n)=logb(mn)
When adding, switch to multiplying
Quotient Property: logb(m)-logb(n)=logb(m/n)
When subtracting, switch to division
Power Property: nlogb(m)=logb(m^n)
When number is in front of log, make it to the power of m.
When the base is not the same, apply log to both sides to solve.
EX) 5=2.25^x
xlog2.25=log5
x=1.984
EX) 2(8^x)=128
xlog8=64
x=2
*Divide by log2.25 to get x alone.
*Divide by 2 to get 8^x alone. Then add log to both sides to get rid of exponent. finally divide by log8 to get x by itself.
