Sustainable development

The world population has about 7 million people and it is estimated that by 2050 the number of inhabitants will grow to 9 million. As a result, the demand for natural resources will increase. Sustainable development seeks to ensure that current and future generations have a decent state of life.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
In september 2015, 193 member states of UN set the new 17 goals to be achieved by 2030.
over the next years, all countries, poor, rich and middle-income, will mobilise to end all forms of poverty, fight inequality and tackle climate change.

Sustenaible Development goals
Goal 1 and 2 require an end both to poverty and hungerand to achieve food security; to improve nutrition and promote sustanaible agriculture.

The goal aims to mobilize US$ 100 billion annually by 2020 to address the needs of developing countries to both adapt to climate change and invest in low carbon development. supporting vulnerable regions will directly contribute not only to goal 13 but also to the other SDGs.

The double pyramid
The double pyramid was created with the aim of communicating that the foods
recommended for our health are also those with the least environmental impact.
The food pyramid is a table with nutritional guidelines inspired by the Mediterranean diet, while the environmental pyramid shows the foods with the greatest impact on the environment at the top and those with the least at the bottom.
