Once the was a lowly peasant who went by the name "Chad". Chad was of the magic blue people race who were masters of networking.

Chad had to get by by using his magic networking powers he gave people the gift of free network

okay Ms. Ho it looks like we're going to install a computer network, this is a group of computers connected that can exchange information to one another.

My hero.

People began to notice Chads magnificent powers, soon everyone wanted some network and support. Looks like Chad will be busy

Sorry ma'am you have packet loss
Whats packet loss?
A packet is A piece of a message transmitted over a packet-switching network. One of the key features of a packet is that it contains the destination address in addition to the data.

You said you're installing a LAN
Thats right a LAN or local area network, connect many devices in a short range of each other.

Throughout the dark history of the kingdom, WANs could not exist.A WAN allows people from the far lands to connect to one network.

However the fabled WANs could only hold so many nodes. A node is anything you can think of that connects to a network.

To master the WAN you also had to master the media access control(MSC) the physical address of each node.
This also included the IPs, each nodes name, an IP is an identifier of a node

Chad spent countless hours and sleepless nights trying to find the correct topology for the fabled WAN.

Chad had an idea
I have an idea
Chad would use a bus topology, or maybe a ring topology. In both of these typologies nodes connect to each other, chad thought they be unreliable as if one node is down, they all are down. This would bring the calamity of bad network.

Unfortunately these typologies had a problem with traffic and tokens, tokens give the nodes information this made communicating slower and less desirable.

Chad had an idea, he would use a star topology
In a star topology nodes connect to a central hub. chad found this to be beneficial because if a node is down, the network continues.

One day Mr. Obama came to chad to enlighten him about topologies.

Hey Chad, what about tree topology, where nodes branch out from each other, and connect to a central hub. Making the shape of well, a tree.

Of course tree topology could work as well, thanks Obama.

Chad placed the hub deep inside the castles brooding walls. The devices began their protocols, this meant the nodes were transmitting data.

from the P2P or peer to peer network each citizen had equal responsibility with their nodes.
